We have had peolple come and try and fix it and then the next day the system is not working properly again. We have been fighting with the company like other people and have gotten nowhere. If anyone can help us out on a way out we would greatly appreciate it.
We need some serious help here. I hate to have to pay over $4000 for something that is not worth it. If anyone has received results from fighting Rain Soft, I would greatly appreciate hearing how to deal with the company. These people make you feel like they never encounter these problems and that you are a first. They must spend a lot of their money on training their people on what to say.
I now understand why they want to install their units the next day. That way we don't have time to research the product. Would this fall into the lemon law?

The salesman will not tell you that of course, they are all inexperienced in water treatment. I have personally seen them fudge and lie about the water tests telling you that your water is worse than it really is. And as for there finance goes do not trust it they will balloon your numbers to get you approved and then you are stuck with a piece of crap that you will never be able to pay off.I am so sorry to everyone out there that I have personally serviced but when your given nothing to work with and told to lie to people it makes it hard to give a good job to you. My adive to everyone out there is that if you get a call from eastern shore water inc. run as for from it as you can. |
2. Written by TLM, on 28-10-2008 10:23 Rainsoft systems are junk! THeir "repairs" seems to lead to other failures (different part of course!) shortly after they leave AND their financing is VERY deceptive! Neighbor used to work for them for 9 years....the stories he has told me! THey are not good...pressure to produce NO MATTER WHAT LIE YOU HAVE TO TELL CUSTOMER.
3. Written by Steve, on 21-10-2008 19:01 The rainsoft systems are actually quite good. I bought one for my ex's place (to try it out essentially and to regain lost points) I don't think fast service equals hidden agendas like you say. I was impressed with rainsoft from start to finish.

5. Written by baronrae, on 03-05-2008 17:50 Do a Rainsoft search on this site and you will see that you are not alone. "Joe" is right, these are all independent dealers. However, the story never seems to change, they are all bad. I did fight back, but it took a year and several letters and phone calls. I did win, but mostly because I filed a dispute with my credit card company and they found in my favor. I did call "rainsoft" and got some response, but not what I needed. The machine was junk (RFC33K), but the company I dealt with was incompetent and lied, lied, lied. Do the "search" using Rainsoft and read what I did. Good luck. General advice, always pay with a credit card, even if you have the money. You can always pay off the card the next day if you want. Using a card gives you an additional warranty and other avenues to dispute an injustice.
6. Written by Joe, on 03-05-2008 11:17 I used to own a RainSoft dealership. It sounds like your local dealer isn't servicing you well at all, even though, in general RainSoft has very good products. My advice, go to RainSoft.com, find the customer service # and talk to the factory directly. Keep on them until you get results. Good luck
