CommentThere are to many things that can be in our water and lets face it WE DO DRINK IT! Personally I would recommend Rain Soft to anyone. Also I read someone said that the systems were $8,000 to $10,000 I just want to know what system they were looking at. The biggest one i saw was $8,000 but they started around $3,000 and lets face it You Get What You Pay for and I would pay it again!!

Written by Lisa, on 15-08-2009 22:23 in response to the filter prices , for one you said you would've paid less for bottled water in a years time, "WRONG" my husband currently buys his bottled water from crystal springs and pays over $100.00 a month for it, so when you said you would spend less with in a year do the math $100.00 a month times 12 months is $1,200.00 I'd rather pay the $90.00 a year for the rain soft system, we just had ours installed yesterday and we love it! as for the one who complained about the salesman staying so long , well the one who came to us only took 2 hours it would've only been 1 hour but if you don't take your time asking the salesman questions about a product before you agree to buy then you deserve to be scammed , we asked every question we could think of before we agreed to buy, the other thing that took the salesman that long was we got the salesman to go down price wise. very nice salesman! you need to quit bashing this issue if you did not take the time to listen to what the product was about you were in too big of a hurry to get the person out of your house to even know what was involved, also the price for the system depends on the one you buy, we got the $5000.00 one they tried to sell us the $10,000.00 one that is why it took so long with the salesman is because we got the lower priced one over the mega model it still works GREAT!!!!!! |
| 2. Written by Jenny, on 15-06-2009 13:54 I bought the this system about a year ago. All I want to do is get it out of my house! I think the water from the extra system for drinking tastes great. However, I was not informed I would have to pay $70 a year for filters and then another $90 a year to have them replaced. I would have spent less money on bottled water! I was also not informed of the price of the air filters, which to me don't seem to work at all. The bulbs for these alone are $100 a piece, and there are 3 of them! For those talking about the price, my system was about $6,000. But when you add in all of the interest you end up paying until it's paid off, you end up spending at least double of that. |

The water out of our filter GE Smart Filter was every bit as clean as Rainsofts', but the rep did not even want to discuss that, even though it was clear as day. So let me offer advice to anyone out there considering Rainsoft.....please go and buy a good filter off the shelf at LOWE'S, ACE, OR MENARD'S NOT HOME DEPOT!!! These people are just high pressure sales at it's worst, and I will never again step foot in another Home Depot store again. My wife was very close to calling the police on the rep that was in our house for almost 4 HOURS!!! I'm surprised that HD would stoop to this level, what a friggin SCAM!!! |

A company that's entire sales pitch is preceded by entering a fake raffle at Home Depot... well if you fall for that then maybe you deserve an over-priced water softner. They tried to get my friend. He thought it was so crazy that he told me I had to do it. I wish I hadn't. This guy was unbearable. Serious sales pitch for HOURS! I couldn't get the guy to leave. Jesus it was horrible. Plus I got a completely different price than my friend. Totally WEIRD! |

I have several pcs of Rainsoft equip in my basement for various water conditions and I didnt pay nearly that much. Sorry some of you were taken by greedy salesman but as for me I am extremley happy with my rainsoft treatment systems and my dealer.  |
