If you like to be subjected to rude, fast talking, high pressure sales pitches, then Rainsoft is the company you've been looking for! Just respond politely to the telemarketer, agree to a "quick" water analysis at your home, show the sales person into your home, and let the fun begin. Make sure you don't have any appointments for the next three hours, as this is how long it will take to receive the full treatment. If at the end of the show you decide not to spend the 8,000.00-10,000.00@ 17% interest, be prepared for a sudden change in Mr. Water Tester/ Salesman, as his bright, cheerful mood is replaced by a surly, arrogant rudeness. As you clean up the mess he made, pack his bag and show him the door, you can be assured that a good time was had by all, and you'll be in touch soon. NOT! Comments (15) |
1. Written by pissed consumer, on 18-08-2009 08:48 we had mr. sales *** come out for a 40 min. presentation which lasted over 2 hours. all we wanted was for him to cut to the chase, but no, as if he was reading from Q-cards, he just kept going and going. the end price was 8000, but he could make it 0 dollars when you consider the free soap and the discount grociery card. you tell him you need to think about it, happy guy turns not so nice. we were supposed to recieve a home depot gift card, bib and bottle for our unborn child and a special suprise gift, all to be brought by salesman. needless to say he didnt have them and they would be mailed. its been over a month and nothing has been recieved in the mail. this gives home depot a bad reputation and i think im going to shorten my drive to the hardware store and give lowes my business. ![]()

3. Written by Me Too, on 18-11-2008 07:18 This guy showed up at my door as well a couple nights ago. Don was his name, and he was very polite through his entire demo. I also was under the impression of only taking 30-45 min for a water test and was promised $500 in coupons. It suddenly turned to him trying everything in the book to get us to purchase a rainsoft system. We really would like to, but not at this time, esp. without thinking about it for a little bit. It took everything I had to get him out of the house because he was trying to push this product on us. I honestly was going to purchase it in the near future once we had the money for it, but after that hassle when I told him 'not right now', I don't think I will ever purchase from them. I was so worried about getting him out of my house at 10:30 at night that I forgot all about the coupons. I didn't even get any of those!
4. Written by Oracleherd, on 05-10-2008 05:44 I worked for Rainsoft for 2 months. They stole my training pay from me and said it was for home depot shirts and id badge and background check. Most companies pay for that but these cheap jerks decided to rake me over the coals from the very beginning. They sent me all over the globe on appointments the people didnt even know I was coming to do a water test. They lie and say its only 10 minutes but the demo takes 3 hours to complete. I wasted a fortune in gas money and going on appointments with no one home. Bob hogan is an *** and he treats his employees like ***. Im surprised home depot does business with these scam outfit. I quess they don't care that their name is sullied by this parasite organization. It was onlly me and another girl that even made it through the training class. They buy equipment for about $450.00 and sell it for $8,000 - $10,000 @ 17.0% interest. Sounds like rape to me. Deal with them at your own rizk.. My conscience wouldnt let me continue.
5. Written by Good product...but overpriced, on 19-09-2008 10:50 You got a gift card? All I got was an Entertainment book that will expire in two months...woohoo. It is a great product I'm sure...we saw the demo...but it is overpriced. If you do want it...be prepared to haggle price like you do buying a car. The difference is...you can walk away from a car dealership. You can't walk out of your own home. And don't finance through them...you can get a better rate through your own credit card. We initially signed up last night and then canceled this morning (after being on the phone for 1/2 hour) after looking over our budget.
6. Written by rude salesman, on 30-08-2008 11:59 I agreed to let them in for a chance at $500 home depot shopping spree and a $20 home depot give card just for letting them in the door. I told him at the beginning of the ordeal that I had a lot to do today and was promised this would only take 30 minutes. I loved what I saw in the system but said I wanted to talk it over with my husband and sleep on the decision. This is supposedly a company that prides themselves on making customers happy. His tone immediately changed and he became very rude throwing every sales pitch in the book at me. Had he been more understanding of our financial concerns I might have considered calling him back, but as of right now I'm pissed.
7. Written by nothappy, on 28-08-2008 21:30 We just had the water demonstration that was setup through Home Depot. We had the guy out ONLY because of the promise of $500 worth of coupons. They really should let them know what's going on. We endured the demonstration with great interest because the water was bad and the test / demo showed it. But we sit down and he starts filling out the paperwork. We tell him to hold on that we were only interested in a demo and cannot afford it right now. He starts getting a little testy. Overall he was pretty good but he came to our house under the impression we wanted to buy a water treatment system. Wish we'd have cleared the air from the start. We let him go through his whole thing it was all very interesting and we were very polite, but when we said we couldn't buy the system because we couldn't afford it right now, he supposedly called a superior who okay a 6 month no interest / no payment deal. When we still declined, he got a little worse. He turned a little testy and rude and packed up and left.
8. Written by retards, on 08-08-2008 08:46 people who let 2 hours of their time pass without saying "no we are not interested, please leave" have a right to be pissed..at themselves...for they are morons! but hey, it is not their fault for being genetically screwed by their parents... please do not replicate, save your children from your genes and politely STFU. this site is stupid. people who are on here are morons. and I happen to stumble on this site googling the keyword dumb f#cks
9. Written by BrandyWine, on 31-07-2008 23:51 I just completed my Rainsoft demo & I am extremely impressed with not only the product but my wonderful sales rep. The only reason my demp took so long is because I asked lots & lots of questions .I like to be aware ...very aware before I make such a big decission. I ended up purchasing the water filteration system & got all kids of discounts & nice surprises with it ! I love this product & don't know why any one wouldn't well maybe they got a bad rep because that really makes a difference because some people are just to pushy but not everyone. |
10. Written by watersystemsguy, on 22-07-2008 11:25 it is a fact that if I gave 10,000 people a one dollar bill, 2000 of them would complain because I didnt slip them 2. ever notice how people are quick to complain, but never commend. These complaint boards have competetion making crude comments about other companies, not sure why that is. Complain if it makes you feel better, but grow up if your a salesman or dealer trying to fill the complaint boards up with garbage. If you truely are disappointed in your personal experience, contact Rainsoft Headquarters and let them know. All dealers are independantly owned and operated, but do have to follow H.Q.s policies.
