Rain Soft complaint by Plumberman
If you like to be subjected to rude, fast talking, high pressure sales pitches, then Rainsoft is the company you've been looking for! Just respond politely to the telemarketer, agree to a "quick" water analysis at your home, show the sales person into your home, and let the fun begin. Make sure you don't have any appointments for the next three hours, as this is how long it will take to receive the full treatment. If at the end of the show you decide not to spend the 8,000.00-10,000.00@ 17% interest, be prepared for a sudden change in Mr. Water Tester/ Salesman, as his bright, cheerful mood is replaced by a surly, arrogant rudeness. As you clean up the mess he made, pack his bag and show him the door, you can be assured that a good time was had by all, and you'll be in touch soon. NOT!

people who let 2 hours of their time pass without saying "no we are not interested, please leave" have a right to be pissed..at themselves...for they are morons! but hey, it is not their fault for being genetically screwed by their parents... please do not replicate, save your children from your genes and politely STFU.

this site is stupid. people who are on here are morons.

and I happen to stumble on this site googling the keyword dumb f#cks

:grin I just completed my Rainsoft demo & I am extremely impressed with not only the product but my wonderful sales rep.

The only reason my demp took so long is because I asked lots & lots of questions .I like to be aware ...very aware before I make such a big decission.

I ended up purchasing the water filteration system & got all kids of discounts & nice surprises with it ! I love this product & don't know why any one wouldn't well maybe they got a bad rep because that really makes a difference because some people are just to pushy but not everyone.

it is a fact that if I gave 10,000 people a one dollar bill, 2000 of them would complain because I didnt slip them 2. ever notice how people are quick to complain, but never commend. These complaint boards have competetion making crude comments about other companies, not sure why that is. Complain if it makes you feel better, but grow up if your a salesman or dealer trying to fill the complaint boards up with garbage. If you truely are disappointed in your personal experience, contact Rainsoft Headquarters and let them know. All dealers are independantly owned and operated, but do have to follow H.Q.s policies.

All the gift cards from Home Depot (if it was a Home Depot based appointment for the water test) will be sent. The only way a homeowner doesn't receive their gift card is if the RainSoft technician is not able to complete his demonstration. Whether or not a customer invests in fixing their water problems is irrelevant.

Although I'm no longer in the water treatment industry I spent the better part of nine years working with the Rainsoft product line. I did hundreds and hundreds of presentations and sold with both integrity and respect of those I presented the information to. Please take into consideration that there are literally HUNDREDS of rainsoft dealerships in the US - and over 20 other countries as well - and each has from probably 10-50 sales representatives. I can assure you from the years of working there were a handful of guys I had little respect for that I worked beside, but the overwhelming majority understood what the company and product line and factory stood for and did their jobs with integrity and in a professional manner. If not - why would after researching EVERY major water treatment company out there - why would Home Depot have chosen Rainsoft to be the EXCLUSIVE water treatment line for their Home Services Division? Just make sure we keep the big picture intact.

Wow, they must stick to their script pretty well, I had the same experience. A 40 min. demo became a 2 hour summit on how bad by water was, I already knew that it's why I agreed to have you come over. Great product but when I'm not willing to spend north of $6000 on a whim you better get the hint Mr. Salesman. I'm pretty sure I won't be getting the $20 g-card or grill but on the bright side I still have $6000 :)

I think that same salesman was at my house yesterday. He took up over 2 hours of our time with testing our water and his sales presentation. Talk about pushy! $8000 is more money than I want to pay for a water system. I practically had to throw him and his little silver case out of my house. I guess I won't see my $20 gift cert. from Home Depot and my chances of winning that grill just went out the window..
